Melicia Lytle is set to graduate on May 17 with a 3.83 grade-point average. It has been a long journey for this single mother of three who has a disability, but she is finally able to say that she has achieved her goal, and has overcome one of her biggest fears.

Linda Foster

Linda Foster is a fighter. Her story is one of courage and perseverance in the face of personal tragedy and hardship. The 62-year-old-STLCC graduate has twice survived cancer, and earned a certificate and a degree during her struggles.

Dr. Donna Werner
“Expanding minds, changing lives” is not just a mission statement at St. Louis Community College. Dr. Donna Werner, professor of Philosophy at STLCC-Meramec, has taken these words to heart, expanding her own mind and changing her life by setting goals and challenging herself.

It started almost three years ago, when her son adopted a dog named Tarkio from Stray Rescue of St. Louis. Michelle Streiff started volunteering with the organization when its new Pine Street facility was set to open. Stray Rescue really needed people who could help paint.
