Welcome to the Classroom and Event Management Scheduling Webpage
The Event Management System (EMS) will be used for the assignment of academic courses to classrooms and ensuring that the classrooms provide an appropriate learning environment. This system will also be used to document the use of space on campus for all events, whether academic, athletic, cultural or community oriented.
The goal of the EMS is to accurately maintain all STLCC buildings and rooms in one system. The overall goal of the project is in alignment with Chancellor strategic framework objective. The Chancellor and the Leadership have endorsed the selection and the system wide implementation design.
A district wide team has worked for several months to implement a selected vendor software to replace the room scheduling software in place at all locations.
To this end, this project will allow the campuses of St. Louis Community College to schedule their space more effectively and efficiently, by assuring consistent and accurate data and measures across the system. Through consistent data integrity, this project will define a more objective process that will allow each campus and the system to tell the full story of its space utilization and improve the quality of space management decisions.
As the project is winding down we are starting the transition from a project to an operational system. Meetings are occurring between the project staff and system office facilities staff to bring the project to completion and prepare for ongoing operational support.
The launch date to go live on EMS Campus is January 6, 2014. We will complete the implementation of EMS across the distrcit on February 28, 2014. Congratulations to everyone for all the hard work to reach this exciting milestone. The project celebration is scheduled for February.
