Many St. Louisans have been entertained under the Gateway Arch, but on Wednesday, July 9, West County residents will be able to enjoy a wide variety of talent under a different set of arches -- those at St. Louis Community College’s Wildwood campus.
Students from STLCC, those who are visiting for summer classes from other institutions, and community members are invited to present their writing, visual art, music or dramatic work at an open microphone during the outdoor Open Mic Night that will be held 6-9 p.m.
There is no admission fee and the public is welcome. The campus is located at 2645 Generations Drive.
“We thought it would be fun to bring our Open Mic Night event outdoors in the pleasant weather, and the arches that span our façade are the perfect backdrop,” said Stephanie Graham, coordinator for campus life and college transition. The campus regularly hosts Open Mic Night events throughout the fall and spring semesters.
Presentations are limited to five minutes and should be suitable for all ages.
Advance registration is required to guarantee your performance spot. Others will perform as time allows.
