This six-week accelerated job training program prepares entry-level Information Technologists for work as customer service and help desk professionals in the desktop services and applications domain. The program is designed to give participants hands-on experience in developing skills in areas such as installing, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting hardware components; deploying desktop operating systems and applications; deploying and maintain networking protocols and topologies; and designing desktop and network security. The program also covers the desktop operating systems of Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows Vista, and Linux. Participants are also provided information about pursuing CompTIA and Microsoft vendor certifications. The cost of this program when it was last offered was $4,950 which included all training manuals, lab manuals and CompTIA and Microsoft exam vouchers.
