MEET STLCC
Through economic shifts and rising higher education costs, STLCC has remained a steadfast source of opportunity. That's our promise to you.
STLCC has served over 1.3 million students, representing more than 50% of St. Louis area households in our student body. Since 1962, we've believed in the transformative power of education—lifting individuals, communities and our city. This belief inspires us to continue providing opportunities and hope for a better future.
STLCC offers affordable education. Our tuition and fees are 75% less than Missouri's largest public four-year university, saving more than $11,000 annually. Over the lifetime of your career, you can earn $2 million with an associate degree and $2.8 million with a bachelor's degree. Compare this to only $1.6 million with a high school diploma.
STLCC is proud to help more students transfer to four-year Missouri public universities than any other community college in the state. Research shows that students who earn associate degrees before transferring perform better academically, have higher grade point averages and are more likely to earn their bachelor's degree than students who do not complete an associate degree. We provide the tools for your success, ensuring you a confident future.
We offer stackable credentials for career advancement and hundreds of online courses. With a 22:1 student-teacher ratio and various learning modalities, STLCC provides personalized education.
Since 1966, STLCC has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a testament to our commitment to high standards in education, services and faculty. This accreditation ensures you receive a quality education recognized and respected in the academic and professional world.
