AA Degree (FV, FP, M, W and Online)
What are General Education requirements?
The General Education requirements are a 42-hour credit block that complies with the State of Missouri requirements for transfer to most other four-year colleges and universities in the state.* Students who complete all 42 credit hours will have “Missouri General Education Requirement Completed” noted on their transcript. If you transfer before you finish the entire 42 credit hour program, your transfer school will evaluate your courses one-by-one.

Where can I find information about the current General Education requirements?
Information about the General Education requirements can be found here.

I started prior to Fall of 2014, are requirements the same?
The current requirements went into effect in Fall 2014. If you started at STLCC before then, you should contact an Advisor to make sure you enroll in the right courses. If you have taken courses at another college and want to transfer them to STLCC, you may have to provide a course description to help us determine if it is the equivalent of an STLCC course.

* The University of Missouri-Columbia will accept the 42-hour block as completing general education only if you also complete an Associate in Arts degree. Check with an Advisor for UM-C’s requirements for transfer.
