Theatre at St. Louis Community College brings creativity and expression to life. Since the early 1970s, our stages have presented everything from children's shows to experimental works. With a wide selection of classes, STLCC’s theatre program provides an immersive learning experience in acting, directing and technical production. Spread across three campuses in the St. Louis metro region, our venues showcase student performances, guest artists and special events throughout the year.

Backstage Crew
We are currently looking for volunteers for the following crew positions:
- Sound, lighting and video board operators
- Stage and run crew
- Props crew
- Costume and makeup crew
- House manager
Carpentry Shop
Join our carpentry team and help bring stage productions to life. Our fully equipped workshop welcomes students of all skill levels, no woodworking experience needed. Our professional staff will train you on all tools and techniques. While volunteering is open to everyone, we encourage participants to enroll in a theatre course to enhance your experience.
We are always looking for work-study students, volunteer student workers and practicum students for class credit hours.

Florissant Valley
The Terry M. Fisher Theatre at Florissant Valley gives students hands-on theatre education and experience as part of their liberal arts studies. It also houses the Florissant Valley Theatre of the Deaf, a pioneering program that creates accessible performances and educational opportunities for both Deaf and hearing communities.
Forest Park
The Mildred E. Bastian Center for the Performing Arts at Forest Park is both a performance venue and a teaching space for STLCC students. It hosts an array of student and faculty productions, offering audiences classical plays, contemporary works and musical productions throughout the year.
Meramec
Meramec’s theatre program centers on student involvement in every aspect of production, from acting to stagecraft. Each season gives students experiential learning opportunities while presenting audiences with engaging plays and performances that strengthen community connections.
