Build new skills or prepare for a career in the growing geospatial industry with STLCC’s geospatial technology courses. You'll learn how to use GIS software, analyze spatial data and apply drone technology to real-world projects in mapping, planning and data collection.
GST 101. Introduction to Geographic Information Systems
Learn the fundamentals of GIS using ArcGIS software. You'll explore how spatial data is collected, managed and analyzed while creating maps that help identify patterns, solve problems and support decision-making in a variety of industries.
GST 102. Introduction to Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Explore the basics of drone technology and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). You'll learn about drone operations, onboard sensors, FAA regulations, safety requirements and responsible flight practices while building a foundation for advanced drone training.
GST 150. Drone Mission Planning and Photography
