STLCC Student Reymart Delos Santos Named Chime Scholar

St. Louis Community College student Reymart Delos Santos has been named a 2026 Chime Workforce Scholar, joining 200 students nationwide recognized for their academic achievement and pursuit of career-focused education.

Delos Santos is in his second year of the clinical laboratory technology associate in applied science (AAS) program. “My goal is to work in a hospital laboratory. I have a particular passion for microbiology,” he said. “I plan to pursue a bachelor's degree after I graduate with my associate degree.”

The Chime Workforce Scholarship, funded by the Chime Scholars Foundation and administered by the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation, provides each scholar with $1,000 to help cover educational expenses while completing a certificate or associate degree. The scholarship supports students preparing for high-demand careers that strengthen their communities and local economies. By helping students complete their education and earn workforce credentials, the program helps create a stronger pipeline of skilled workers in fields where they are needed most.

“I intend to use the scholarship funds to cover the costs of my textbooks and a portion of my tuition,” Delos Santos said. “I am incredibly grateful for this support. It allows me to focus more fully on my academic success.”
