Declaration of Trustee Vacancy, Subdistrict #2

The Board of Trustees has officially declared a vacancy in the office of Trustee for Subdistrict #2, effective immediately.

Subdistrict 2’s approximate boundaries extend from the northern limits of St. Louis City south along the western city limit, continue east along Route 64 to the intersection with South Kingshighway, continue south along Kingshighway to Rosa, along the south side of Eichelberger to the intersection with Dahlia, continuing east along Eichelberger to Gravois. At the intersection of Eichelberger and Gravois turn south and continue to Bates, and southeast on Fillmore and follow Fillmore to the Mississippi River.

BOARD POLICY: In accordance with Policy AP.10, the following process is hereby initiated:

  1. Public Invitation: The College will publicly invite interested, legally qualified citizens of Subdistrict #2 to apply in writing via email.
  2. Application Requirements: Applicants must submit a Declaration of Candidacy form (full name, residence address, and date of birth of the candidate (at least twenty-one years of age); length of time said candidate has resided in the district and sub district; a statement that the candidate has been a resident voter of their election district for at least one (1) year next preceding the election for which the candidate is filing; and a statement that applicant is a citizen of the United States, together with a designation of the birthplace of the candidate if born in the United States, or the date on which and the place at which the candidate became a naturalized citizen, (whichever is applicable), a statement of reasons for seeking the appointment, and a resume to the Chancellor's office via the Board Secretary, Lisa Moravec (lmoravec@stlcc.edu)
  3. Timeline: Materials must be submitted by Thursday, March 5, 2026, by 5:00 pm via email to the Board Secretary, Lisa Moravec (lmoravec@stlcc.edu)
  4. Appointment: The Board will conduct interviews and, by majority vote, appoint a successor to hold office until the next scheduled election in April 2027.
