At Meramec Theatre, learning happens both in the classroom and on the stage. Students gain hands-on experience in acting, design, technical theatre and production while working alongside faculty and experienced theatre professionals. Every audition, rehearsal, design meeting and performance helps students build real-world skills and confidence. As a community theatre, Meramec Theatre welcomes students and local performers to audition, creating opportunities to learn, collaborate and share the excitement of live theatre with our audiences.

About the Production
Sylvia is presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Dramatists Play Service.
SYNOPSIS: Sylvia is a clever and touching comedy by A. R. Gurney that explores midlife crises, marriage, and our relationships with pets. The play cleverly features a human actress portraying the title canine character, which highlights the humorous and sometimes bizarre rivalry for affection.

The Mildred E. Bastian Center for the Performing Arts is a general admission theatre and admission is free. There is no late seating. The theatre is strictly first come, first served. Children 13 and over are welcome.
Theatre Policies
- All theatrical productions at STLCC are offered free of charge.
- In-person seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Photography and digital recordings are strictly prohibited for all STLCC theatre productions.
- Food and drink are not allowed within the theatre auditorium.
- No children under 10 years old, unless it's specifically marked as a children's production.
- We request that patrons turn off cellular phones during the performance as a courtesy to our performers and your fellow patrons.
- St. Louis Community College is tobacco free. Use of tobacco products is prohibited on all college property.
