Commencement Details

Am I eligible to participate?

Students who graduated in summer 2024 and fall 2024 are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony. In addition, all eligible spring 2025 graduation candidates and students who are graduating this summer who have fewer than 6 credit hours to complete in their summer session are invited to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Do you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony?

You must RSVP to attend the ceremony by March 1, 2025. If you wish to participate in the ceremony and did not complete the form by this date, please contact commencement@stlcc.edu. Please note, if you RSVP after the deadline, you may not appear in the printed program.

Location

This year we will be celebrating with our STLCC graduates at the Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University. Paid public parking lots and garages are available in the vicinity of Chaifetz Arena. Review the Chaifetz Arena website for parking and directions.

When you arrive at Chaifetz Arena, follow the directional signs and instructions.

Additional Commencement Details

• Tickets are not issued for commencement. You are welcome to invite as many guests as you wish.
• There won’t be a rehearsal. You will receive instructions when you arrive at the Chaifetz Arena warm-up area.
• Please wear your regalia to the ceremony. You will be responsible for all personal items you bring into the student waiting area and arena. There won’t be secure storage for your items.
• Chaifetz Arena has a clear bag policy and is a cashless venue. Read Saint Louis University’s Safe Arena Policy for current details.
• Graduates will meet all guests outside the main gates following the ceremony.

Chaifetz Policies & Prohibited Items

No outside food or drink, no noise makers (air horns, whistles, bells, vuvuzelas), no flags, no balloons, no confetti or silly string, no wrapped/bagged gifts, no weapons (including mace and pocketknives).

• Handheld signs 11"x17" or smaller are welcome at Chaifetz Arena as long as it does not disrupt the view or experience of any other fan and the content is tasteful and related to celebratory messages relevant to graduation. Banners and signs are subject to search and may be confiscated if messages are inappropriate. Banner poles and sign sticks are not permitted.
• Guests will enjoy every event free from disruptive behavior and will not wear clothes or bring signs that promote or display obscene or indecent messages or gestures.
