Cost of Attending

Cost Per Credit Hour Fall 2024 – Spring 2025

Online Rates
STLCC online courses cost $122 per credit hour for residents and $125 per hour for out-of-district, Midwest Student Exchange and out-of-state students.
High School Student Rates
High school students taking classes through dual enrollment, pay half the normal cost per credit hour. Dual credit classes are $25/credit hour.
Senior Rates
Senior citizens, 60 years and older, receive a discounted rate of $61/credit hour + any additional course fees. Senior citizens, age 65 and older, can apply to audit classes for a discounted tuition rate of $15 with the Missouri Senior Scholarship.

Use Banner Self-Service to pay your maintenance fees in full with a credit or debit card, or directly from your bank account.
In-Person
Visit your campus cashier’s office to pay your semester fees in full. Please note that credit and debit card payments are not accepted in person or by phone at campus cashier locations.

You’re eligible to enroll as a resident if you live in St. Louis City, St. Louis County or portions of Franklin and Jefferson counties included in the Meramec Valley R-III and Rockwood R-6 school districts.
If you live in Missouri, but aren’t part of our home district, you’re eligible for the in-state (other Missouri resident) rate.
STLCC partners with the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) to offer in-state tuition to students from eight Midwestern states. Learn which states are included and how to apply.
All fees are due before the term starts. If you register late, payment is required when you enroll.

Yes, STLCC accepts third-party payment authorizations. When an external organization (not awarding a scholarship) makes a commitment to pay for a student's educational expenses, they are considered a third-party payer.
Third-party organizations must submit a letter of authorization to the Office of Student Accounts:

The authorization letter should include:
- Student's name and STLCC ID number
- Semester covered by funds (Fall, Spring, and/or Summer and year; i.e. Fall 2018)
- Type of charges and fees covered (tuition, fees, books, etc.)
- Third-Party contact (person’s name, address and telephone number)
- Third-party payers must pay the College directly.

Organizations that pay or reimburse students directly will not be allowed to participate in third-party billing.
Once your balance is paid in full, holds will be lifted within one business day.
