"Meeting these requirements has not only been an arduous task for my staff for the past year, but also a daily commitment to providing excellent service while meeting testing standards," said Patti Barnes, testing center manager. “It took our entire team’s efforts to earn this recertification.”

Florissant Valley’s center is the only one in the STLCC district that has been certified by the NCTA. In addition to Barnes, staff members include Amy McMurray, testing specialist; Brenda Robertson, administrative clerk; and Michelle Bradford-Moore, educational assistant.

Before again gaining the NCTA's stamp of approval, the testing center's application was reviewed by an advisor and two different committees.

"I am proud of my department for doing the work necessary to ensure to the community and others that we are providing the best testing service possible by demonstrating mastery of best practices in the testing industry,” Barnes said. “We can assure prospective distance learning students, vendors, our students, and other organizations that our Testing Center’s expertise is confirmed by the leading professional organization in collegiate test administration.”
