Advanced Spanish Reading

Increase your Spanish vocabulary and comprehension by reading and discussing a book that richly portrays Spanish culture and personal journeys. In our first section (P01), explore “Canasta de Cuentos Mexicanos” by B. Traven, a series of short stories about traveling to remote areas of Mexico and observing the wit and ingenuity of those who live there. In our second section (P02), join us for "Senderos fronterizos" by Francisco Jiménez, the author's teenage recollection of emigrating to America and the challenges he and his family faced through poverty and prejudice.
