Design Scholarship Fund
Established in 2022, the STLCC Design Scholarship fund was created to support historically underrepresented students in the field of design, currently in their second year of the graphic communications program at STLCC.
Awardees will receive a tuition scholarship to cover the cost of their final semesters at STLCC, as well as a laptop with design software to support their academic work. As a STLCC St. Louis Design Scholar students will be connected to internship opportunities in the region and receive individualized mentorship and counseling. St. Louis Design Scholars become part of a group of students recognized for their work and dedication to the field. They will share extracurricular experiences designed to advance their goals and connection to other like-minded students. STLCC Design Scholars will be connected to a network of design professionals and educators, to support and advise them as they prepare to continue their undergraduate education and move into the professional arena.
"Receiving this scholarship proved to me that I wasn’t wasting my time and that my
goals weren’t pipe dreams. Thank you for making it possible for me to continue my
education and keep going as an artist."
-Solomon J., 2022 Scholarship Recipient
