Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Meramec Arts Festival has been postponed until further notice. The events and times below are no longer accurate.

Events, Locations, & Times

Identity: Regional High School Exhibition

Time: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
Location: Contemporary Art Gallery

Within the concept of “identity” there is nuance, subtlety and, perhaps, fluidity that makes its understanding both universal and intensely personal. This competitive all-media exhibition explores what identity means to young artists in the modern world.

Jane Ellen Ibur, St. Louis Poet Laureate, will be holding an informal discussion-workshop on the business of publishing poetry.

Montage Real or Fake News

The editorial staff of The Montage will be hosting an interactive game designed to test your skills as discerning real from fake news.

The editorial staff of STLCC-Meramec's literary journal is hosting a release party for its 2019-2020 issue. Come hear students read their work and help the staff celebrate another fantastic issue of student poetry, prose, and art.

Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how music is made by listening in on the Meramec Symphonic Band rehearsal.

Meramec Theatre Presents: Into the Woods

Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: Meramec Theatre

The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

Meramec Arts Open House

Time: 3:30-6:30 p.m.

  • Color Consultation Sessions: Interior design students and faculty will conduct one-on-one color consultation sessions. Visitors will begin the process by completing a color psychology questionnaire. We will then analyze the results of your questionnaire and provide interior color selections based on your own personal color psychology profile. Free color samples and giveaways will be provided!
  • Cast Metal Jewelry Making: Make cast metal jewelry with some simple carving from cuttlefish bone in Sculpture!
  • Ceramic Tile Decorating: Ceramics invites you to decorate your own 6" x 6" tile! Pick up your completed tile in a week!
  • Font Building: Learn basic families of type and create your own font that you can load on any computer!
  • Silk Screening: Screen print an image onto a notebook or tea towel that you can take home with you! Or, bring in your own shirt or fabric to print on that will be available to pick up in one week. Feel free to bring in your own image to print!
  • Laser Cutting Demos and 3-D Printing: Pick out an image and our laser cutter will cut it out for you! You can also see a demonstration of 3-D printing.
  • Photographic portraits: Drop in to the photography studio to have images made of your family or friends.
