Background
In fall 2021, the STLCC Vax to School Incentive Program was offered to employees and enrolled students. Those who received a complete COVID-19 vaccination, whether one-dose or two-dose series, were eligible for a monetary incentive - $500 for employees; $100 for students.

Vax Incentive 2.0 Employee Eligibility
All STLCC full-time and part-time employees who did not participate in Vax to School during fall 2021 must:

  • Have an active job assignment as of March 17.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by March 17.
  • Submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination by March 17 at 5 p.m. with the STLCC Mobile app.
  • Be employed by the College at the time they submit proof of vaccination.
  • Remain employed at STLCC until receiving the payment.
  • Have a Social Security or Taxpayer Identification number for the incentive payment.

Vax Incentive 2.0 Student Eligibility
STLCC students – full-time, part-time and dual enrollment – who did not participate in Vax to School during fall 2021 must:

  • Be enrolled as a current student for spring 2022 as of March 17.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by March 17.
  • Submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination by March 17 at 5 p.m. with the STLCC Mobile app.
  • Have a Social Security or Taxpayer Identification number for the incentive payment.

The College will pay the incentives to employees and students by April 29; however, the date is subject to change.

Participation is voluntary. More details about STLCC Vax Incentive 2.0 are available on the COVID-19 information page

Funding for the Incentive Program
STLCC is able to pay for the incentive program with money from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) from the U.S. Department of Education’s Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act 2021 (CRRSAA).

HEERF provides funds for emergency student aid grants to help students through the impact of the pandemic and supports the College’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic such as expanding learning modalities to virtual or online formats and other safety measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

St. Louis Community College received $66,143,161 through HEERF. Details about HEERF reporting are on the College’s website.

Masks Required
The College requires all students, faculty, staff and visitors to wear masks inside at all STLCC locations. Wearing a mask while indoors with others reduces the risk of both getting and transmitting the virus.

Please continue to maintain a social distance, wash your hands regularly and stay at home if you are sick.
