STLCC, Lindenwood University Sign Transfer Partnership
St. Louis Community College and Lindenwood University have signed an agreement as part of a cooperative partnership to support the higher education of students in the greater St. Louis area. The event was held at STLCC-Forest Park’s Center for Nursing and Health Sciences.
Students from STLCC who complete an associate degree are eligible for transfer pathways and scholarships through Lindenwood’s Bridge Scholarship program.
“This partnership with STLCC is impactful for the future of our university and broadens the reach of our student body”, said John Porter, president of Lindenwood University. “This will open doors for excellent students in our community and enrich both campuses in many ways.”
Joining Porter at the ceremony was Jeff L. Pittman, Ph.D., chancellor of STLCC.
“At STLCC, we’re invested in our students’ success, and we’re committed to expanding opportunities for our students to achieve their college and career goals,” Pittman said. “We know that many of our students transfer to Lindenwood University, so we’re excited to create an additional pathway to support them as they pursue a four-year degree.”
In addition to Pittman, several members of STLCC’s administration attended the event, including: Andrew Langrehr, Ph.D., vice chancellor for academic affairs; Julie Fickas, Ed.D., campus president and chief academic officer of STLCC-Forest Park; and Jill Vaughn, director of curriculum and assessment.
Lindenwood University was also represented by Dr. Joe Sallustio, senior vice president of enrollment management and Lindenwood Global.
