What is Biomedical Electronics Technology at St. Louis Community College?

The biomedical electronics technology program gives you the technical know-how to handle the behind-the-scenes work of keeping medical equipment safe and reliable.

You’ll learn to analyze circuits, read schematics and test devices for proper function. You’ll gain insight into hospital safety, electrical standards and medical device networking, along with emerging innovations in medical technology.

Key skills you’ll gain include:

  • Installing and repairing medical devices.
  • Troubleshooting circuits with meters and analyzers.
  • Evaluating electrical safety, including electrostatic discharge (ESD).
