Designed for individuals currently employed in the biotechnology field, this new program is a professional development course focused on understanding the principles and practices of bioprocessing and biomanufacturing.
This 5-week, interactive course, is designed to prepare industry employees with knowledge of methodologies needed to develop and manufacture biological products. Topics include:
- Upstream bioprocessing
- Downstream processing
- Good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Lab equipment like chromatography columns and bioreactors
- Functional roles in the company
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Explain key concepts used in the development, processing and manufacturing of biological products
- Apply foundational concepts to their own work
- Develop increased confidence in performing work duties
40 hours of training
5 weeks | 1 day per week from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Start date: TBD. Training is offered in Jan-Feb, Jul-Aug, Oct-Nov
