College for Kids Registration Instructions

Registration Steps

  1. Pick your classes. Research the College for Kids class offerings at stlcc.edu/CFK. You can print a copy of the “Quick View” brochure to help aid in this process.
  2. Create account(s). Create online accounts for each child who plans to attend College for Kids. Full step-by-step instructions can be found below.
  3. Register and pay. Payment must be completed at the time of registration. A credit card processing fee of 2.75% will be added to the cost of the class(es). Additionally, and in order to best protect your personal information, we cannot accept credit card payment over the phone; online account/registration is required.
  4. Complete waivers. Attendance waivers will be sent to you via the email address(es) you provide in account creation. These waivers will be sent electronically a few weeks following registration and must be completed, signed and returned to our team by the deadline in the email for your child(ren) to remain registered for College for Kids.

Please note: Class sizes (for both in-person offerings and online) are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Create Account(s), Register and Pay

You will need to create an account for each child who plans to attend College for Kids.

First, choose the format for College for Kids: In-Person, Online or both. Then, starting April 5, 2021, go to stlcc.edu/CFK. Click “Register Now.” Then, follow these instructions for each student (separately).

IMPORTANT: Previous years’ accounts are null and void. Whether your child is attending for the first time or if they have attended in the past, you will need to establish a new account.

If you prefer in-person class(es):

  1. Choose “College for Kids (In-Person format) – Meramec Campus Aug 2-6.”
  2. The drop-down menu will display all classes available in an in-person format (which runs Aug. 2-6). Use the brochure at stlcc.edu/CFK to help select the classes for the first student. Click on each class (which will expand the description) and choose “Add To Cart.” Class levels referenced in the brochure refer to the child’s most recent grade completed as of June 1, 2021.
  3. Once you’ve selected all the classes you want for the first student, select “Click HERE” (at the top of the screen in black typeface) to confirm your selections in the cart.
  4. Select “Checkout” to move to the “Create Account” screen. Enter THE STUDENT’S first name and last name. Enter THE PARENT’S email address. (This email address can be used for each student you register). Then, select “New Account.”
  5. The “Your Details” screen will prepopulate the information you entered on the “Create Account” screen. Modify if necessary. Then, choose “Next.”
  6. The “Choose Username & Password” screen will appear.
    1. Create a username (10-16 characters) starting with (all lowercase) “cfk,” followed by your child’s first name and the first initial of the last name and a number. (e.g., For Sammie Smith, the username would be cfksammies7)
    2. If the username has already been taken and/or doesn’t work, change the number and try again. (e.g., cfksammies8)
    3. Create a password of your choice.
    4. Retain your username and password for each account.
  7. On the “Complete” screen, select “Next.” You will then be asked if you have a discount code; there’s no code available for College for Kids. Please select “Next” again.
  8. This will take you to Touchnet, where you can enter your credit/debit card payment info. Please note: a 2.75% processing fee will be added to your payment. When making credit/debit card payment, use the name information of the card holder (on the card) to complete your payment.
  9. Once paid, you will have the option to print a receipt.
  10. Close the browser. Then, restart the process for the next student.
  11. Attendance waivers will be sent to you via the email address(es) you provide in account creation. These waivers will be sent a few weeks following registration and must be completed, signed and returned to our team by the deadline in the email in order for your child(ren) to remain registered for College for Kids.

  2. The drop-down menu will display all classes available in the format you chose. Use the brochure at stlcc.edu/CFK to help select the classes for the first student. Click on each class (which will expand the description) and choose “Add To Cart.” Class levels referenced in the brochure refer to the child’s most recent grade completed as of June 1, 2021.
  3. Once you’ve selected all the classes you want for the first student, select “Click HERE” (at the top of the screen in black typeface to confirm your selections in the cart.

If you’d like to explore both online and in-person for a single student:

Once you’ve selected all the classes you want for the first student in the given format, click on “Browse Other Continuing Education Classes” and choose “College for Kids (Online format) – Online July 26-30” or “College for Kids (In-Person format) – Meramec Campus Aug 2-6” (whichever format you did not choose previously).
  4. The dropdown will display all classes available in an online format (which runs July 26-30). Use the brochure at stlcc.edu/CFK to help select the classes for the first student. Click on each class (which will expand the description) and choose “Add To Cart.” Class levels referenced in the brochure refer to the child’s most recent grade completed as of June 1, 2021.
  5. Once you’ve made all of your selections for the first student, select “Click HERE” (at the top of the screen in black typeface) to confirm your selections in the cart.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to create an account for each child or can I just use my (parent’s) information?
A unique account (username) is required for each child.

Can my child take both online and in-person courses?
Yes! Please note that the online courses and in-person classes are offered during different timespans.

Should we register under the parents’ name(s) or under the child/children name(s)?
Please use the child’s information for registration and create a unique user account (username) for each child.

Are the grades noted for each class offered referencing my child’s previous grade level or next grade level?
Grades noted for each class refer to most recent grade completed by June 1, 2021.

If I would rather pay with a check, is that acceptable? Am I charged the service fee for a debit card purchase?
Payment is only accepted via credit card or debit card. The 2.75% fee is charged for both credit card and debit card transactions.
