Fitness

Boot Camp With Shark Fitness

Challenge yourself through resistance training, calisthenics, short runs, and drills. This 60-minute class is designed to work every major muscle group. You’ll learn the correct way to train in terms of form, tempo and exercise selection. Despite the group setting, this class will challenge you individually to give your best and expect optimal results. Bring a towel or mat and water. Cardio and Muscle

Looking for a fat burner? Explore a combination of cardio moves and head-to-toe muscles strengthening exercise, all set to the rhythm of fun music. A folding chair and set of light weights will add intensity to your workout. All ages and fitness levels are welcome and modifications are available. Yoga and Barre

Yoga to Align and Unwind

Stilling the mind starts with aligning and freeing the body. This beginner yoga class teaches you to unwind through understanding movement at a deep level. Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower paced style yoga derived from Meridian Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that takes place primarily on the floor, with postures held for longer periods of time (typically three-five minutes). The longer holds target specific energetic lines and the body’s connective tissues (e.g., ligaments, joints and fascia). No prior yoga experience is necessary. Yoga for Stress and Anxiety

Modern life and busyness can cause your stress response to be continually “turned on” leading to feelings of chronic worry and exhaustion. During this course, you’ll focus on specific techniques to activate relaxation responses, leading to greater calmness and ease. Class is a combination of gentle movements and restorative yoga poses. Explore poses on the floor using a variety of yoga props to support your body as you hold poses for a few minutes at a time. You will be able to use props that you have at your home (e.g., blankets, pillows and a scarf) in place of a yoga strap. Class also emphasizes breathing practices and meditations for stress reduction. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
