Enter the Booming Field of Geospatial Technology

St. Louis is positioned to become the global center for geospatial technologies. This is thanks to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s long-standing 75-year presence and its substantial $1.75 billion investment in a new headquarters currently under construction. This significant commitment is driving the region to the forefront and creating abundant opportunities in the geospatial technology field. Among the high-demand careers in this industry are those of drone pilots and geographic information systems (GIS) specialists. GIS specialists analyze and visualize spatial data to solve problems related to geography and locations.
