SkillUP Missouri offers scholarships for short-term training programs and support services to individuals receiving Food Stamp/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Learn how you may qualify for free training through St. Louis Community College.

The top three qualifying factors for SkillUp benefits are that

  • you are willing and able to go to work immediately upon completion of training.

General Information and Other Helpful Links:

  • Family Support Division (FSD) of Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) can help you or your family with food stamps, health care, child care, child support and other needs. You must be a Food Stamp customer in order to receive the SkillUP benefits discussed on this page.
  • View general information about the SkillUP program, offered through FSD. This voluntary program helps Food Stamp recipients get free help with skills, training and employer connections to get a job or a better job. STLCC serves as a SkillUP education provider in this state initiative.
