Join Student Government

Make your mark on campus by joining the Student Government Association (SGA). Help shape STLCC policies, lead events and create positive change. SGA members organize town halls, run service projects and help transform campus life.

SGA offers personal, academic and professional benefits, such as building leadership, communication and time management skills; gaining experience in public speaking, teamwork and problem-solving; and networking opportunities with peers, faculty and administrators. Participate as a leader or general member to help you grow and stand out on college and job applications.

Organize Campus Events

Joining Campus Activities Board (CAB) offers hands-on experience in planning and hosting events. It builds valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, budgeting and communication—great for resumes and future careers. CAB also provides opportunities to meet new people, collaborate with diverse groups and network with campus staff and outside vendors. You’ll have the chance to be creative, make a real impact on student life and shape campus culture. Plus, it’s a fun and fulfilling way to get involved, build confidence and create memorable experiences for yourself and your peers.

Join a Student Club

Joining a student club is a great way to meet new people, make friends and feel connected on campus. Clubs help you develop valuable skills like leadership, teamwork and communication while exploring your interests. They also boost your resume by showing initiative and involvement beyond the classroom. Many offer opportunities to plan events, take on leadership roles or volunteer in the community. Plus, clubs provide a fun break from studying and can help reduce stress. Whether you want to try something new, grow your skills or give back, student clubs make your college experience richer and more rewarding.
