Prepare for a legal career by pursuing St. Louis Community College's associate in applied science (AAS) program in legal studies for the paralegal. Designed in cooperation with the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, this program covers legal vocabulary, federal and Missouri state laws, court systems and specific areas of law.

Students study concepts of personal property and business organizations, develop skills in interviewing and counseling clients, write legal resumes, analyze legal problems and draft/prepare legal documents.

Graduates are qualified for a paralegal position in law firms, corporations, government agencies and other businesses.

What is Legal Studies at St. Louis Community College?

Legal studies explores the principles, systems and practices of law. It encompasses various areas, such as jurisprudence, legal theory and the examination of specific legal topics, offering an in-depth understanding of legal concepts, institutions and their societal impacts.
