Digital Arts and Technology Alliance (DATA) - Center for Visual Technology
A component of DATA, the Center for Visual Technology (CVT) provides professional level facilities, hardware and software for use by students and faculty to learn the latest techniques and develop the skills required for professional digital media.
The Center for Visual Technology (CVT) supports faculty and students in digital technology courses and workshops through an interdisciplinary partnership of career and digital media programs. The abundant resources and cutting-edge technology available in the CVT meet industry-standards of excellence through the skills of faculty and staff who are experts in the current digital equipment and software.
The CVT is located within the Humanities East building on the Meramec campus along with the Design, Visual and Performing Arts
Department providing students fundamental hands-on, visual, and technical skills oriented to the creation of visual and digital materials.

Digital media courses taught by the highly regarded Art faculty and the DATA Workshops are held in CVT classrooms. CVT labs provide opportunities for students to continue their classroom work and are open days, evenings and weekends, when the College is open.
The close association with the art department provides hand, visual and technology skills taught in the same building, allowing students a greater realization of the cross-disciplinary benefits that can be incorporated into imaging design.
