Becoming an Honors Student at Florissant Valley

Requirements for New Students

A new student is qualified if s/he has a score of 540 verbal or above on the SAT, a composite score of 26 on the ACT, has scores on the Florissant Valley Assessment Tests (Accuplacer) of at least a 99 on Reading and at least 106 on the Sentence Skills, graduates with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale, or has completed at least 12 college credits at another institution in courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Eligibility for Continuing Students

A student is qualified if s/he has scores on the Florissant Valley Assessment Tests of at least a 99 on Reading and at least 106 on the Sentence Skills or has completed at least 12 college credits in courses numbered 100 and above with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
