Taking the prerequisite class at STLCC is the most straightforward way to satisfy a requirement, but you can also submit a current schedule or transcript from another college, or petition for Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) from a department chair. CPL includes AP scores.
An academic advisor can help you determine if you’re eligible for a course or evaluating credit to satisfy a prerequisite.
Make sure to meet your reading proficiency by taking our placement test. If you’ve scored an 18 or above on the reading and English portion of the ACT you’re already set. ACT math scores of 22 or above will also waive the need for placement testing.
