Monday - Thursday | 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. | $399

STLCC College for Kids presents Xploration Healthcare, a unique opportunity for youth, ages 12-16, to explore medical careers in a college classroom training environment.

Taught by medical professionals, students will experience class curriculum/key job components in hands-on, small group cohorts.

The cohorts rotate each day through modules including:

  • Clinical Laboratory Technician
  • Dental Hygiene
  • EMT/paramedics
  • Nurse
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Respiratory Therapist
  • Surgical Technician
  • Ultrasound Technician

Participants will go inside an ambulance simulator, learn first aid, look at laboratory cell slides, determine organs from ultrasounds, visit the dental clinic, learn intubation techniques and more!

A unique opportunity for youth, ages 12-16, to explore careers in a variety of trade and manufacturing industries.

Taught by instructors with years of industry experience as well as current industry professionals, students will experience class curriculum/key job components in hands-on, small group cohorts.

The cohorts rotate each day through modules including:

  • Aerospace Sheet Metal and Composites
  • Drone operations with hands-on flying lessons
  • Electronics
  • General Maintenance Mechanics
  • HVAC
  • Industrial Maintenance Tech
  • Welding

Participants will learn about aerospace fasteners including hands-on installation, carbon fiber composite lay-up activities, blueprint reading, plumbing and pipefitting, drone operations with hands-on flying and welding techniques in a virtual setting.
