Auditing a Class
STLCC students may audit a course and attend without taking examinations. The regular tuition rate is charged. Students who audit a class must meet all of the academic pre-requisites for regular registration in the course.
Audited courses carry no credit and do not count as a part of one’s course load, which will affect a student’s status if he or she receives financial aid or veterans benefits or holds an F-1/M-1 visa. Completing an audit of a class carries no implication concerning class attendance or skill accomplishment.
Students may register for audit status in a course, or change from audit to credit status, or credit to audit status during the 50 percent refund period. Students registering online must make the switch from credit to audit in person at a campus Admissions and Enrollment Services office during the same refund period.
