Online Student Support Coach

An Online Student Support Coach works specifically with students taking a fully online, Hybrid or LVL course.

They can help you:

  • Understand expectations for online learning
  • Build productive routines for asynchronous classes
  • Stay engaged and organized in online courses
  • Manage multiple deadlines and course platforms
  • Develop strategies for success in a virtual learning environment

This support is intentionally designed for how online students actually learn—independently, asynchronously, and often while balancing work and family 

Academic Support Specialist

An Academic Support Specialist works with students across all learning formats to strengthen the skills that support academic success.

They can help you:

  • Improve time management and organization
  • Develop effective study and note-taking strategies
  • Create plans to keep up with assignments and deadlines
  • Overcome procrastination and stay motivated
  • Build confidence and accountability as a college student

These sessions are personalized and focus on practical strategies you can use in any course, learning modality or program.

Online Tutoring

STLCC Online is committed to supporting students in mastering their course material and achieving academic success. All online students have 24/7 access to online academic support through Tutor.com sign into your Canvas course. Work one-on-one with a subject expert through text, voice or video whenever and however you need it.

Online Learning Experience

  • STLCC online classes allow for flexibility in participating and completing your assignments.
  • Most online courses are asynchronous. They have no set log-in times, you can work at your own pace, as long as you meet syllabus deadlines and due dates.
  • You have access to 24/7 online tutoring, tech support, Canvas “Learning and Succeeding” tutorials and more.
  • You’ll receive direct and individualized support from faculty, and a team of online specialist 100% online.
