Password Management

St. Louis Community College is partnering with LastPass to keep your online life secure, whether at work or at home.

LastPass is a password manager that makes it easy to log in to any website. LastPass secures your data and syncs to any computer. LastPass enters all of your usernames and passwords for you.

Getting Started with LastPass

You can use LastPass to keep track of your MySTLCC ID, as well as all your other online accounts. LastPass installs as an extension to your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and an app on Android and IOS devices. You can use the premium version on your mobile device to fill in account information across all apps on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Get LastPass premium for a year by going to https://lastpass.com/partnerpremium/stlcc
  2. Enter your College email address in the first line.
  3. Enter your personal email address in the second line and click submit.
  4. Follow the instructions sent to your personal email.

You will receive an activation email from LastPass <do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com>

That's it! LastPass will now start prompting you to remember usernames and passwords on most sites. Once you have these stored in LastPass, you can use LastPass to sign in for you.

In addition to saving your passwords and automatically filling in account information, you'll be able to use:

  • Team Password Sharing: Share one or more passwords securely between coworkers.
  • Access Anywhere: Whether on a desktop, laptop, or tablet, your account is backed up and synced everywhere you need to work.
  • Linked Personal Accounts: Manage personal and work passwords by simply linking them together. And don’t worry...personal passwords are private and remain accessible only to you.

You are also encouraged to set up a personal account by going to https://lastpass.com/partnerpremium/stlcc. Keep all your personal accounts secure and private from the College in the personal version. College staff can remove or gain access to your College account. If you ever leave the College, you will be able to keep all the information in your personal account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Chances are you log in to many accounts in the course of your work. We work hard to ensure all College resources are accessible using your MySTLCC ID, but you may have other accounts with College vendors, community partners, or other outside parties. A password manager makes it easy to keep track of these accounts, and use secure, unique passwords on each one.

Many employees at the College are members of the Missouri Community College Association (MCCA). Many of MCCA's resources are only available if you are signed in to your MCCA account. You can use LastPass to securely store the username and password for this site, so that you can quickly log in without needing to enter the information yourself.

We recommend you use the personal version at home. Through the College you can obtain LastPass Premium by signing up with your personal email address at https://lastpass.com/partnerpremium/stlcc.

We will be hosting training sessions throughout the semester.

The LastPass 101 YouTube playlist has a series of short videos that explain how to use LastPass.

You can find more information at the LastPass support site.

No. As long as you have an active STLCC email address, you can continue to use LastPass Premium for free. This benefit allows 1 claim code per College email address every 12 months. When the premium upgrade is close to expiring you will be directed to sign up again from the College's LastPass sign-up page for another 12 months. If your College email address is deactivated, your premium account will be automatically switched to a free account when the subscription expires.

LastPass will automatically be installed on all College employee systems.
