E911 Location

Enhanced 911 (E911) information is required by law to ensure emergency services know where to go when someone dials 911. St Louis Community College uses 911inform to gather location information and share it with 911 dispatchers and STLCC Police.

When you enable your softphone, your extension is removed from your desk phone and transferred to your computer. You will receive an email asking you to register your device (phone) with the STLCC 911inform system. This process is the same whether you are using a desk phone or softphone.

Register Your Location

1. Select the CLICK HERE TO REGISTER button in the email from 911inform.

2. Select your location.

  • If you are on campus, select the I'm In A Building button. Choose your building and select OK. Select your floor from the dropdown menu, then click your room number on the map.
  • If you are working remotely, enter your address in the Search for an address text box.

3. Select the Register Your Location button. After verifying your address (and entering an apartment/unit number if necessary) select OK.

If you need help or something is not right, please contact Kris Dysert on Microsoft Teams (preferred) or by email.
