Canvas is STLCC’s online learning management system. Instructors use Canvas to share course materials, assignments, grades, announcements and other class information.
Students should access Canvas through Archer Connect, STLCC’s online student portal. Log in with your STLCC email address and password, then select Canvas from the student tab.
Registered students have access to "Learning Online at STLCC," an optional, self-paced Canvas orientation course. This course can help you get familiar with Canvas features, navigation tools and online learning basics.
You can access and begin the orientation 30 days before your course begins.
Canvas is STLCC’s web-based learning management system. Students use Canvas to access online course content, assignments, grades, announcements and other class materials.
Canvas is designed to be easy to use and helps students stay connected to their courses in one place.
Courses appear on your Canvas Dashboard when they open to students, which is usually three days before the course start date listed on the interactive schedule.

Future courses may be listed there before they open, but you will not be able to access them yet.
For the best Canvas experience, use the current version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
Do not use Internet Explorer or older versions of Microsoft Edge. For the most up-to-date details, review Canvas browser requirements.
Use the Chrome browser on your Chromebook to access Canvas. Most Canvas features and tools should work in Chrome.
Some programs or courses may have additional software or technology requirements. Check your course information or contact your instructor if you are not sure what is needed.
Download the Canvas Student app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
When setting up the app, search for St. Louis Community College or enter stlcc.instructure.com. You can also use a QR code from your Canvas account to log in to the app more easily.

There are several resources available to help you learn how to use Canvas and stay connected to your courses.
In Canvas, use the Help menu to find support options and student resources. Registered students are also automatically enrolled in "Learning Online at STLCC," an optional self-paced course that introduces Canvas features, navigation tools and online learning basics.
You can also explore Canvas student guides and tutorials for help with common tasks, including using your dashboard, checking grades, viewing assignments and using the Canvas Student app.
