Missouri Reverse Transfer

What is MRT?

Missouri Reverse Transfer helps eligible students earn an associate degree from STLCC after transferring to a four-year Missouri college or university. Credits earned at the four-year school may count toward the STLCC degree.

Missouri developed this statewide reverse transfer policy to help more students earn credentials. For more information about Missouri Reverse Transfer, visit the Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development website.

Am I eligible?

You may be eligible for Missouri Reverse Transfer if you:

• Earned at least 15 credit hours at STLCC.
• Transferred to a participating four-year Missouri college or university.
• Have not already earned an associate degree or higher.
• Are completing coursework at your four-year school that may count toward an STLCC degree.

Missouri Reverse Transfer is for students who transferred from STLCC to a four-year Missouri school. If you want to transfer to STLCC, return to STLCC or enroll after time away, visit the apply page to get started.

How does the reverse transfer process work?

The four-year Missouri college or university you attended will help with the reverse transfer process and send your transcript to STLCC for review.

How would I benefit?

Missouri Reverse Transfer may help you earn an associate degree while you continue working toward your bachelor's degree. Having a college credential may also help you qualify for more jobs and increase your earning potential.
