GPA Recalculation
GPA Recalculation - Program/Major Change
To petition for a program change with grade point average calculation, a student must submit an application to the registrar’s office. The requirements and instructions for submitting an application and the criteria used for the GPA adjustment are available in the advising office. The student is strongly advised to consult an advisor since a GPA adjustment can be done only once for a student.
Academic Forgiveness - Prolonged Absence from the College
Following an absence from the College of five calendar years, a student may apply for a recalculation of grade point average with academic forgiveness. The student must apply for recalculation during their first year of enrollment after the five-year absence. The recalculation will be made only once in a student’s academic career at the College. All coursework below C will be removed from the calculation of the grade point average. Coursework removed from grade point calculation will not be used to meet degree requirements; however, all courses will remain on the student’s transcript. The requirements and instructions for submitting an application and the criteria used for the GPA adjustment are available in the advising office.
