Academic Standing
All students are expected to make satisfactory academic progress, or remain in good academic standing. You may check your academic standing by reviewing an unofficial transcript in Banner Self-Service.
Good Standing
Cumulative 2.0 GPA after completing at least 6 credit hours.
Academic Probation
Less than a cumulative 2.0 GPA after completing at least 6 credit hours. Students on academic probation will not be allowed to self-advise.
Restricted Probation I & II
Once placed on probation, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in the next academic term in which he or she is enrolled, or be placed on Restricted Probation I.
If placed on Restricted Probation I, a student must achieve a cumulative GPA of 2.0 in the next academic term in which he or she is enrolled, or be placed on Restricted Probation II.
Students on Restricted Probation (I or II) must sign a contract with the Counseling or Advising office stipulating conditions for remaining enrolled at the college.
Students on academic probation will not be allowed to self-advise.
Suspension
Students on Restricted Probation II, who fail to raise their GPA to 2.0 will be suspended from the college for one academic year.
